Water-Resistant Paper for Drinking Straws
Keeps the oil and water in while letting the water vapor out. EnviroPaper reduces food spoilage due to condensation.
Fully compostable and non-toxic. EnviroPaper meets multiple standards and tests for low environmental impact.
Prevents water and oil from seeping through the packaging. EnviroPaper bags can hold water for up to five days.
EnviroPaper® food wrappers have 100% disintegration after 34 days of compost exposure. Tested under laboratory-scale disintegration ISO 20200 standards, EnviroPaper was in contact with composting materials at 58 °C ± 20 °C conditions. The test fully meets the requirements of BPI and ASTM 6868-11 disintegration.
EnviroPaper is free from heavy metals and other toxic materials, tested using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy with an Attenuated Total Reflectance (ATR) Perkin Elmer Spectrum 100. It US FDA compliant, under CFR part 176.170 for materials in direct contact with food. It also passed the BPI standards for polymeric and ash content in food packaging products and the toxicity test under OECD 208.
EnviroPaper fully degrades into compostable material. When its fibers are mixed with soil, broken-down EnviroPaper does not affect the growth and germination of summer barley and beefsteak tomato plants. The material was tested according to OECD 208 and ASTM D-6002-02 sec. 6.5. EnviroPaper meets the standards set by Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI) of America under ASTM 6400-12.
